The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!: Rowdy Roddy's Rotten Pipes/Crocodile Mario

Join Scott and Hamish as they take a warp pipe back to 1989, a time when the Super Mario Brothers had their own television show that was a unique blend of both live-action and animation: "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" Listen as they break down and review both parts of the show’s 62nd episode: the live-action segments starring Rowdy Roddy Piper entitled “Rowdy Roddy’s Rotten Pipes” and the cartoon “Crocodile Mario”. They’ll discuss the humble beginnings of the Mario Bros. franchise and its surprisingly small history in television, as well as the many changes and adjustments to this short-lived, yet long running show. They’ll talk about the over-the-top acting by not only a very angry Rowdy Roddy Piper, but also by Captain Lou Albano and Danny Wells, playing the very nervous Mario brothers, and why it all adds to the delightful ridiculousness of the episode. They’ll also discuss why the Crocodile Dundee-inspired cartoon segment “Crocodile Mario”, featuring our heroes taking a trip to “Down Under Land” not only terribly misrepresents many aspects of Australian culture, but also the physics of the universe as well! From bagpipe-playing vacuum cleaners to reptile-repelling statues resembling popular actors of the 80s, this one has it all! (Well, maybe not “all”, but a bunch of weird stuff anyway.) It's an episode packed with very confusing story logic with many, many questions, but unfortunately our answers are in another castle. So throw a pizza on the barbie, keep your plunger handy, and laugh along with us! C'mon, do the Mario!

MST3K: The Return (w/ Lead puppeteer Grant Baciocco)

Join Scott, Hamish, Kevin, and Matt as they welcome a very special guest to the show, "Mystery Science Theater 3000" lead puppeteer Grant Baciocco! Listen as they discuss the long awaited return of MST3K, thanks to a very successful crowdfunding campaign and years of loyal fan devotion. Grant will share his personal experiences leading up to his work with Crow T. Robot, such as being a puppeteer for the Jim Henson Company, working for Cinematic Titanic, and even getting to open for Weird Al Yankovic! He'll talk about being a diehard MST3K fan who now gets to operate Crow (as well as voice and operate new bot Waverly!), what's involved for the team of puppeteers working on the new MST3K, and what it's like working with creator Joel Hodgson and the talented cast. The group will also discuss the new MST3K episodes, including their early favorites, lines they loved, various visual gags (flying Tom Servo? Yes!), and so much more! So repeat to yourself "It's just a podcast, I should really just relax" and tour the dark side of the moon with us!

Beavis and Butt-Head: The Great Cornholio

Join Scott and Shawn as they take a look back at one of the quintessential cartoons of the 90's: Beavis and Butt-Head! And of course, if you only had to pick one episode of Beavis and Butt-Head to watch, it's the one being reviewed in this week's episode: "The Great Cornholio"! An episode with big pop culture significance. So much so that it changed the word "bunghole" forever. Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law: X, the Exterminator

Batman (1966): Smack in the Middle

Join Shawn and Scott as they breakdown and review "Smack in the Middle", the second episode of the iconic 1966 series "Batman"! Listen as they detail this story, which continues from the Batman pilot (covered in last week's episode of the podcast) in which the dastardly Riddler hatches a plot to separate the Dynamic Duo, kidnap Robin, and steal a small country's priceless treasure. The Ren & Stimpy Show: Space Madness/The Boy Who Cried Rat!
