Join Scott, Shawn, Sarah, Kevin, and Matt as they have a Wonder-ful time breaking down and reviewing the very first live-action depiction of Wonder Woman, the 1967 unsold pilot presentation for a proposed Wonder Woman TV series: “Who’s Afraid of Diana Prince?” Listen as they laugh at this strange story of a 27 million-year-old woman who lives in a small apartment with her nagging mother, who also occasionally dresses up as a superhero and stops to admire herself when trouble arises. They’ll discuss this film’s connections to the great Batman ‘66 TV series, the odd decision to cast TWO actresses (one as Diana Prince, the other as Wonder Woman), why Steve Trevor being stuck at the airport isn’t really an emergency, and most importantly: What’s up with the mirror scene?! They’ll also talk about the other adaptations of the Wonder Woman character through the ages, live-action, and animated, and theorize what this series would have been like. So grab a bowl of ruffage, carefully fold your newspaper, and laugh along with us! Oh, and try not to fall off of the couch!

Join Scott, Kevin and Sarah as they breakdown and review the first episode of the latest television entry in Marvel’s ever-expanding Cinematic Universe: Inhumans. Listen as they talk about the story behind this miniseries, from a scrapped future movie, to an edited IMAX release, to finally, a poorly reviewed series. They’ll also talk about the history of these characters, dating back to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby creations from the 1960’s and a fictional city that’s even older! What made this series get such bad reviews? Why did Marvel fans loathe this live action adaptation of classic comic book characters? Well, laugh along with us and find out. Just don’t ask “Whhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?”
This is part one of our review of the Inhumans’ two-episode premiere. Look for part two very soon!

Join Scott, Shawn and Jonah as they take a look back at one of the most sharp and irreverent cartoons of the 90's: "Animaniacs"! Listen as they breakdown and review the second episode of the series, featuring Yakko singing a somewhat accurate list of countries in the classic segment "Nations of the World", the Warner brothers (and Warner sister) trying to earn merit badges in Switzerland by selling Kid Scout cookies to a frustrated Albert Einstein in "Cookies For Einstein", and our introduction to two genetically altered lab mice named Pinky and The Brain who attempt to take home prize money on a TV quiz show in "Win Big". They'll talk about the history of the series from a Fox Kids cartoon with Steven Spielberg's backing to a mainstay of Kids WB, and possibly beyond. They'll also point out some of the loving references to old Hollywood, nitpick Yakko's idea of which lands are actually nations, reveal the big secret behind Pinky and The Brain's big scheme, and much, much more! So grab a box of cookies and a cup of Swiss Miss, turn off Wheel of Misfortune and get zany to the max with us! Hellooooooooooo Nurse!!!
(And also, Shawn takes a couple of minutes at the end to share his thoughts on Star Trek: Discovery.)

Join Scott, Kevin, and Hamish as they welcome a very special guest, Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman, for a revisiting of the hilarious Boston-themed episode "The Town"! Listen as Matt shares some inside details about the episode, including its original story, involving conspiracies and red coats, a one-time only Easter egg for a re-airing of the episode, and how it became a wonderful love letter to Boston, how an episode is made, as well as the New England Patriots' recent improbable championship win, and how The Simpsons eerily predicted the victory and parade back in October! They'll also discuss Tom Brady's uncharacteristic local commercial, their individual experiences watching the big game last Sunday, and various Boston area eateries. If that wasn't enough, Matt addresses questions about a possible Simpsons movie sequel, a (hopefully far off) series finale, and also talks about a possible episode for next season, and much, much more! This one is a ton of fun, especially if you share a love of The Simpsons and Boston sports. So grab a grinder and a bottle of Brockton's Best, and move from Springfield to Boston along with us!
If you're listening as this episode is released, make sure to set your DVRs or watch The Simpsons on FOX this Sunday, February 12th at 7:30pm, and lookout for a one-time special Easter egg reference to the New England Patriots' championship win!
Join Scott and Matt as they breakdown and review "Hunting Trip", a hilarious episode of one of the funniest sitcoms of the last decade: "Parks and Recreation"! Listen as they discuss the history of this show, from its original conception as a spinoff from The Office, to lasting seven seasons on NBC as a staple of its Thursday night comedy block. They'll talk about the long history of the Pawnee City Hall building (really located in Pasadena, California) and how its ridiculous size and cost was actually explained in a companion book for the series. They'll also talk about the amazing cast, the great improvised moments, the real Ron Swanson, how the character of Andy Dwyer changed, and much, much more! Oh, and also a couple of side discussions about turkeys and Funko Pop figures! So grab yourself some turkey (or tofu equivalent), put on your fluorescent hat and survey the Indiana wilderness along with us! Boola! Boola! Boola!

They'll discuss other famous actors and comedians that were considered for roles in the movie, cameos you may have missed, and tons of behind the scenes details. What movies are referenced in the film, how did the critics feel about UHF, and, more importantly, what really happened to Raul's poodles? They'll talk all about it and much, much more! So make yourself a Twinkie wiener sandwich, keep it tuned to U62, and watch along with us!

Join Scott and Shawn as they breakdown and review "Kevin Bacon Wears a Blue Button Down Shirt and Black Boots", the season five premiere of the hilarious absurdist talk show "Comedy Bang! Bang!" Listen as they detail the show's interesting history, from its beginnings as the Indie 103.1 radio show "Comedy Death Ray Radio", running concurrently with the Comedy Death Ray stage show, to being adapted into an amazingly creative talk show that ran for 110 episodes on the Independent Film Channel. They'll talk about the very talented and very funny Weird Al Yankovic, making his debut as the show's third bandleader/announcer in this episode. They'll also talk about the episode's special guest, Kevin Bacon, and even play a little Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon of their own! Join Shawn and Scott as they breakdown and review "Hi Diddle Riddle", the pilot episode of the iconic 1966 series "Batman"! Listen as they discuss the brilliance of Adam West, playing Batman as a serious detective despite the show's lighthearted campiness. They'll also discuss Batman and Robin's first adversary of the series, The Riddler, played masterfully by the great Frank Gorshin. From The Riddler's near-impossible (but always quickly solved) riddles and Batman's penchant for labeling everything, to interesting facts about the cast and two rare mentions of the murder of Bruce Wayne's parents, they discuss it all, and much, much more!!! Oh, and if that wasn't enough...the "Batusi" also makes an appearance! So sit back with some fresh-squeezed orange juice, disconnect the red telephone, and speed into Gotham along with us! Na-na na-na na-na na-na na Batman!
And don't worry! We won't leave you hanging! Look out for our episode about part two of the story, "Smack in the Middle": Same Bat-time, Same Bat-podcast!
Join Scott as he takes a special look back at an interesting live television event that took place on the night of February 20, 1981. A late night sketch comedy show invited one of the most unique comedians of the time to host the episode. In the last sketch of the night, the host refused to act, resulting in a physical altercation on live television. Was this a real fight, started by a host with a reputation for his subversive behavior? Or was the whole thing planned ahead of time as a way to shock the TV audience? This week, Hitting Play delves into the sketch from ABC's show "Fridays" that later came to be known as "The Andy Kaufman Incident"!
